For those that haven’t noticed, the left is hell-bent on restricting your Second Amendment rights. Your rights under 2A of the Constitution include all Arms, with a capital A.
That doesn’t mean firearms only, if it did they would have said firearms, but they didn’t. They used Arms because they understood that as technology and civilization improves so does the Arms. Just as the founders fought with muskets and bayonets, their fathers and grandfathers fought with swords, bows, and sticks and stones, literally anything they could find.
The point is, Arms is a universal term that covers all weapons across the ages and the Second Amendment is clear that THIS right “shall not be infringed.”
Our right to keep and bear arms has been heavily restricted already. When one considers the kind of weaponry the military has that we are not legally allowed to own, it is frightening. I feel the founders would be terrified and disgusted at how we have let this government grow so large, and at the same time, disarmed ourselves more and more every step of the way.
Now if you look at gun control in the United States since our founding, the clear pattern is every time there is a mass murder, gang war or an assassination, the opportunistic enemies of the Constitution come out and incite public outrage and fan the flames of public opinion until the people are ready to accept some small incremental infringement of the Second Amendment. That is how we got to where we are now, with many types of weapons currently illegal to own.
So if that is the pattern, one only has to look forward in time and you will see a day in which enough mass murders and gun crimes have happened and more and more reactionary laws have been passed that we will no longer have any right to keep and bear arms.
That’s not science fiction, it’s not a crazy “what-if” scenario, it’s a clear trend in our culture that has been going on for over one hundred years and we must break and reverse it if freedom is to prevail.
